HEClab
HEClab
The HEClab connects cutting-edge technologies developed through art- and science-driven experiments, with an initial focus on the food sector. The HEClab is an online platform designed to promote the adoption of (digital) technologies for art-driven innovation. As part of the ongoing Hungry EcoCities project, we are continuously developing and refining our platform. The current HEClab is a beta-version with the purpose of facilitating the matchmaking between prototypes and opportunities contributing to a more healthy, sustainable and responsbile agri-food system. With a focus on Technology Readiness Levels 4 to 6, the HEClab strives to bridge this gap, facilitating demonstrations, validations, and real-world applications of innovative solutions. It originates from the Hungry EcoCities project, a Horizon Europe and S+T+ARTS funded European Commission, which is dedicated to addressing one of today's most pressing challenges: creating a healthier, more sustainable, responsible, and affordable agri-food system for all. Central to our efforts is the HEClab, currently in its beta version, serving as a testing ground for our aspirations. Too often innovative creative and scientific breakthroughs fail to find the right producer, company or institution to make its full potential come through.
